(AU) Chapter 4: Dire Warnings

Image
A moment he hovered, watching the hunt unfold. Then, down, down, hurtling toward the unsuspecting trees and foothills below, and passing them—passing through them—like half a hurricane. He might almost have been an avalanche on that hillside, for how potently he swept over. The force in his speed was edged nigh dangerous. He could feel it. But he dared not slow down. Not when they were so close. In his haste, Azarias nearly lost sight of his quarry. Only nearly. But he caught again a glimpse of the dark and dappled steed, some ways ahead, and the pale charger behind. His wisped form came alongside the latter rider. His partner gave him a glance. Then, “ Yah!” and Wayland spurred his horse on, outmatching the spirit. From "Kingdom of Othrys AU", Book 1: Search for the Fireflower.

(AU) Chapter 3: The Two Heralds

Image
“Enough! I tell you the truth, we mean no harm! We come in peace!” “Harm is one thing, peace another,” muttered the spirit. “I mean neither.” You’re not helping matters, came a thought’s reply as his partner glared at him, just a little. You help matters, I’ll tend to our mission. Or in all your diplomacy, did you forget we had one? From "Kingdom of Othrys AU", Book 1: Search for the Fireflower.

(AU) Chapter 2: Trusting to Fairy Tales

Image
Lazarus raised his eyes and fixed them steadily on his king. “The story of Septimon.” “Septimon? That kingdom of stars?” “Yessir, and the stones in ‘em. The hearts of the stars. You remember the story, how there was that grand ol’ battle, with the cruel queen and the princess o’ light? Fighting over those stones, they was, though the princess was just trying to keep her from getting ‘em. A real piece of work, that queen. But in their battling, y’see, the stones got knocked right down to earth! Anybody as found ‘em was bestowed with great powers.” From "The Kingdom of Othrys AU", Book 1: Search for the Fireflower.

(AU) Chapter 1: Writing the Story

Image
...“Yes, where were we?” asked Melisande, turning. “Letters, was it?” Eyebrows lifting, the attempting-epistler grinned. “Writing the story.” A moment’s thought. Then some light flared inside Naphtali’s head that had dwindled in the minutes before. “Ah, yes! Of course!” His smile flickered back, not blazing yet, but building. “Of course, of course. Writing the story, by all means.” Clearing his throat, Naphtali began to pace. He did not notice the tips of a third smile, just beginning to bud. Greetings!

Well, this blog is for me to post my illustrations. See, I write stories. And recently, as I've been posting them online, I've decided to start recovering the lost art of illustrating stories. I make pencil sketched pictures, I take photos of each with my phone, and I add them to my chapters. However, since I mainly post on Archive Of Our Own, that's a little tricky. There's a way to do it, but I need a stable link to a posted picture. Discord didn't work. Pinterest didn't work. And I'm told Tumblr links sometimes go a bit wonky. That brings us to this blog. I believe, if I post my pictures on here, I'll be able to include them in my AO3 works. And, if that's so, my stories will be illustrated. Edit: evidently, I need a reminder of what the actual method is for inserting the pictures. So, what you do is copy this:

You paste that into the html of the fic and replace Y...
